Best Achievement to Date: Apart from competing at the world championships and winning numerous trophies since I was a white belt I feel my biggest achievement was sparring at the clash of clubs a couple of years ago. After years of training something finally clicked.
Brief insight into your TaeKwonDo: I started training in 2010 when I was 6 years old, about a year after my brother started. I used to watch him from the side and Pat was always trying to get me to join in. I started competing in comps as soon as I started and won gold at my first English Championships as a yellow tag. I enjoyed the gradings through my colour belts and achieved high grades in all of them. Pats interclub is another event I will always remember I sparred for the first time as a yellow belt and had Jackson White and Junior reffing my area. Pats classes were always great fun as well as Pat I always had the help of the other instructors Karen,Phil, Nigel and Jane and not forgetting Jenny who took up the role as our surrogate mum at the competitions. Competing at gymnastics has given me less and less time to train but Pat has always been supportive of my other commitments. TaeKwonDo has give my confidence and has contributed to my competitive nature. I love the sparring in class it gives me the chance to get on a level playing field with my brother, although he is probably more of a heavy weight compared to me. I am really proud of achieving my second dan and being part of a really amazing club. Thank you Pat fr always pushing me to be that little bit better.
